Unilever's Sustainable Palm Oil Journey

As part of Unilever's 100% RSPO certified commitment, the organisation has included support for independent smallholders. In 2013 Unilever announced its commitment for the Amanah Association, the first group of independent palm oil smallholder to receive RSPO certification in Indonesia.

Smallholders play a vital role in the global palm oil supply chain. Collectively smallholders produce around 30-40% of the global supply of palm oil.
