On the road again
We’re heading to Chicago, USA, on July 17th, for the IFT Annual Meeting and Food Expo. We’ll be there in the guise of Book&Claim to talk about the progress of the certificate trading model under the GreenPalm brand, and tell businesses how they can apply the same methods to buying other sustainable commodities.

On target for a million
Who will buy the millionth GreenPalm certificate?
We don’t have to wait too long to find out, as we’re on track to hit the one million mark in certificate trades by September. That month will also mark two years since the first GreenPalm certificate changed hands, so it will be a significant milestone for us – and for the producers, who will have earned a total of $9m in premiums for their efforts to work sustainably.

GreenPalm has been growing more popular every month, and manufacturers and retailers have shown great commitment to supporting sustainable palm oil production in this way.

We’re a long way from a perfect world where all palm oil is produced using ethical and responsible methods. But GreenPalm is a real, practical and valuable step towards that goal.

Thanks go to all the businesses that support GreenPalm, and to the growers and mills that produce sustainably produced palm oil. You’re helping to tackle an urgent global problem.
