Palm kernel expeller now covered by GreenPalm

GreenPalm has made some changes, which are expected to make it even simpler for businesses to support sustainable production of palm oil and other palm products. Now, those who buy or use palm kernel expeller (PKE) can off-set their use with GreenPalm, and a change to the yield-based rule for all certificates is also about to come into effect.

GreenPalm has hit a very exciting milestone – we have traded a million certificates! Two years after our first certificate was traded, the numbers speak for themselves – one million tonnes of sustainable palm oil have been directly funded by manufacturers and retailers throughout the world. That’s one million tonnes that otherwise might not have been produced using methods approved by the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil.

We’re very pleased to announce that the GreenPalm website, www.greenpalm.org, is now available in three more languages. Visitors are given the choice of default English, French, German or Spanish. To select a language, click on one of the national flags in the top-right corner, just beneath the search window.
RSPO certified sustainable palm oil is on the increase

I’m very pleased to report that more mills and growers than ever before have now been certified by the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO), with greater volumes of certified sustainable palm oil now available as a result.
